Video: How Skeps Are Made

I found an old black and white video that someone uploaded to YouTube demonstrating how traditional skeps are made using straw.

I thought it was fascinating, and thought you might also enjoy seeing it.



I'd love to have an authentic skep for decoration. You know, in-case someone has one laying around and they're looking for someone to give it to.  :)

Thank you for sharing the video!  I have a small skep but I don't think it's authentic...it is much smaller with a metal frame inside.  I don't think I would like to harvest honey from these hives because the wax would be removed.
