Second Racking of Cherry Melomel
Back in August I started a batch of Cherry Melomel.
I've racked it once and added whole cherries to it.
The cherries were all floating at the top of the jugs for several weeks until recently they sank to the bottom.
When they sank, I decided to go ahead and rack them and check on the Brix reading.
The current Brix measurement is: 1.0320.
According to the GotMead.com calculator, it's currently about 13.54% alcohol.
I couldn't help but sample some of the mead and it was pretty good. I didn't have any harsh flavors or aftertaste which was pretty exciting.
This is how I left them, they'll sit here for a few more weeks until they stop producing bubbles in the air lock and the Brix scale stops adjusting.
