Bee Carrying Propolis?

While looking back through pictures I'd taken of a hive inspection during last summer I came across a picture of a bee walking around with full pollen baskets on each leg.

That's normal enough, except this bee appears to be carrying propolis.

Bee Carrying Propolis

I see propolis all over the hive (man this stuff gets everywhere) but I have never figured out exactly how the bees carry it in.

I've read, interestingly enough, that bees can unload their own pollen baskets, but can not unload their own propolis.

I didn't know they couldn't take their own propolis off!!

I know, right?! This summer I'm going to have to keep an eye out for bees bringing in propolis, and see if they get help with it, and how they manage not to get glued together. :)
