Video: Honey Bees Crash Landing In Slow Motion
With the assistance of a high speed camera, we were able to get some great footage of bees landing at the hive, and bees wash-boarding on the landing board.
We setup the camera again, for a longer duration and at several different angles which allowed me to generate a compilation video of nothing but crash landings.
I believe several of the shots include guard bees watching carefully as bees come in for a landing.
My favorite landing is at about 1:50 seconds in the movie.
