Guest Speaker at Blevins Elementary
Today I had an opportunity to speak to each of the 1st grade classes at Blevins Elementary School about bees, pollen, nectar, honey and beekeeping.
The kids were a great audience! They asked lots of great questions and had a lot of fun.
I made a PowerPoint to aid in the presentation and also brought along my bee suit, tool box, smoker, and empty container from a recent package of bees.

At the end of each class's presentation, each student was given a tiny 2 oz bear of honey to take home.
